Support renovation Fokker-organ

With joy the Huygens-Fokker Foundation learned recently that the SNS REAAL Fonds has decided to support the extensive renovation of the Fokker-organ financially. By making a substantial contribution they have made our project possible. Because of this the Huygens-Fokker Foundation is very grateful to the SNS REAAL Fonds by having faith in our project and our foundation.

The foundation is also very pleased to hear that the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds will contibute substantially to our renovationproject of the Fokker-organ. In a letter the board of the fund let us know to find the renovation from such an importance, that they decided to give us more financial support than the directives usually allow. The Huygens-Fokker Foundation is most grateful to the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds after their recognition of the cultural importance of our project.

Support Huygens-Fokker Foundation

Since the sixties the Huygens-Fokker Foundation is financially supported bij the state government. From 2005 to 2007 Huygens-Fokker Foundation received a four year subsidy of the Ministry of Culture (OCW), which was continued in 2008 by the Nederlands Fonds voor Podiumkunsten+ (NFPK+).
In 2009 the foundation wil apply for subsidies by the NFPK+ to work out new microtonal activities.

Sponsors Carrillo-piano

A generous gift of the NAG (Dutch Acoustical Society), and a joint contribution of six well-known consulting firms of engineering, namely Cauberg-Huygen, DGMR, LBP | SIGHT, M+P, Peutz and Wijnia-Norman Partners (WNP) have made it possible to buy the Carrillo-piano. Almost half of the purchase price was donated by the Dutch Acoustical Society (NAG), the other half is collected by the consultants. This way the Carrillo-piano is retained for the Netherlands. (January 2011)
Huygens-Fokker Foundation would like to thank all the sponsors for their great contribution.

Thanks to Robbert Westera piano specialist for his outstanding efforts and cooperation.

Support MicroFest Amsterdam

The important financial support of the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts, the National Aerospace Laboratory and the Goethe-Institut made it possible to organize a microtonal festival: MicroFest Amsterdam 2011.

Support midification study keyboard Fokker-orgel

The study-keyboard of Pels, built in 1963 and belonging to the Fokker-organ, can now be restaurated and midificated because of a small contribution by the Olga Heldring Foundation (Fundatie Van den Santheuvel, Sobbe). This modernisation of the 'mute' study-keyboard is of great importance, because of the the fact that the organplayer can practise (with sound!) on this copy of the 31-tone keyboard on any location he wants, whereby the Huygens-Fokker Foundation will be less dependent of the availability of the BAM Hall, where the original 31-tone keyboard will have its place.

Cooperation with the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ

We are very thankful for the great cooporation with the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ.

This makes it possible to organize the Fokker organ concerts and other activities.

Selfless commitment M3H Architecten

Thanks to the selfless commitment of M3H Architects, realistic drawings and simulations of the organ in the Small Hall (of the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ) were made before the actual renovation of the Fokker organ took place. Also, M3H provided the Huygens-Fokker Foundation with technical advice on the construction.
