May 1, 2022 | Laurens de Man, Fokker organ & Marnix Vinkenborg, electronics
Concert Fokker organ | 2022-05-01, 11.00 hours | Small Hall - Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Amsterdam
The Organic Time Machine
The Fokker organ is a kind of time machine. Due to its unique construction, the Fokker organ can travel through time like no other instrument and make the development of tunings and styles audible. That is exactly what organist Laurens de Man and composer/performer Marnix Vinkenborg do. Starting with medieval dance music, they take the listener via Bach, classical and romanticism to the 20th-century world of Adriaan Fokker, contemporary live electronics and improvisation. Laurens de Man and Marnix Vinkenborg form a creative duo that can bring mesmerizing sounds, exciting music history and intoxicating soundscapes under one name.
You can order tickets at the box office of the Muziekgebouw.
