The fourth edition of the Laboratonium will also be dominated by the experiment with (micro)tones. For example, new works by various young and arrived composers, with the Fokker organ being controlled by a computer, are on the program. The latter is also the case with an impro-composition by the famous Dutch composer Guus Janssen. His wonderful composition 'Fok' consists of several fragments that he improvised on the 31-tone organ and which have been skillfully forged into a composition. Moreover, the world premiere of the young talented composer Boris Bezemer will be heard. Anne Veinberg also returns with an exciting improvisation on the Carrillo-piano, the Carrillo piano, which has recently been fitted with a moderator that makes it possible to play the instrument very softly. The imaginative improvisations of Bart van Dongen in the Euler-Fokker genera are also on the program. The composer and improviser himself takes a seat behind the exceptional console of the Fokker organ. In addition, a new work for a 31-tone organ and laptop by the experienced Romanian/Finnish microtonal composer Sebastian Dumitrescu will be played ánd an improvisation with a lot of glissandi by composer Wouter Snoei and cellist Katharina Gross. And finally, a new composition and ode to Leo de Vries (former violinist of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, microtonal thinker and one of the most loyal visitors to the Fokker organ series, who died in 2018 at the age of 93) by composer René Uijlenhoet for the Fokker organ and electronics is on the program.
