March 20, 2016 | Several poets & Ere Lievonen, Fokker organConcert Fokker organ | 2016-03-20, 11.00 hours | Small Hall - Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, AmsterdamThe Word Speaks
In the word speaks the word speaks, that's clear immediately. But how does the word relate to music? In this case, the word is not referring to singing but to the spoken word, by means of poetry. Can they complement each other? Can they sound at the same time or should they alternate? An interesting research on how these two art forms can influence each other. During this exceptional concert works of two composers who are also published poets (which include Rozalie Hirs and Samuel Vriezen) will be performed. In addition, several known poets are invited to share their clear vision on words and music, which they obviously will present themselves: Lieke Marsman, Han van der Vegt and Maria van Daalen. Ere Lievonen accompanies them on the Fokker organ. With the collaboration of composer Danny de Graan, who composed a new piece for this occasion.
Tickets can be ordered at the box office of the Muziekgebouw.
